Volunteers will help the SFP Ecclesia run a free Vacation Bible School for kids ages 5–12 in Redwood City. Volunteers will be helping in the following roles:

• Set up and take down of the VBS setup at the hall

• Tribe leader (teaching lessons and guiding kids between stations)

• Snack and lunch prep

• Music program support

• Crafts, games, and general assistance

Volunteers can be any age 13+, with permission fro a parent for those under 18. 

If you are traveling in from outside the Bay Area, we ask that volunteers please arrive on or before June 6 and plan to stay through June 13–14. Food, accommodations, and most activities will be provided for volunteers while you are here, but we ask that all volunteers work to organize their own transportation to and from either the SFO or SJC airports. 

A typical VBS day will look something like the following:

• 8:00–8:30 AM: Arrive at the hall for VBS prep

• 9:00 AM–12:00 PM: VBS

• 12:00–12:30 PM: Lunch

• 12:30–1:30 PM: Debrief & prep for next day

• 2:00–5:00 PM: Bay Area outing (planned by SFP ecclesia)

• 5:30–6:30 PM: Group dinner

• 6:30–7:00 PM: Bible reading/devotion

Volunteers will get to experience a combination of volunteer work, faith and team building activities, fun Bay Area exploration and sightseeing, and community outreach and connection — all while supporting our ecclesia and building new connections with other volunteers!
